March Madness

Honestly, I believe Ravi and I could not be busier than we are! After a whirlwind start, nothing has
seemed to slow down. March started off with a trip to Simi Valley. We were able to attend Shreya's 3rd birthday. While in Simi Valley we also got a chance to see Bhawna's parents and Prerna. It was nice to spend some time with everyone. We also got to see my grandparents and Sylvia Atha and the kids. It was a really great weekend plus very sunny. On our way home we stopped in Anaheim to join Hardik, Chaitali, Rajat, Shila, Lori & Mike to see an NHL game. It was the Anaheim Mighty Ducks vs. Nashville Predators. My hockey knowledge is limited but the game was exciting with overtime and a game winning shoot out as the Ducks emerge the winners!

Added to our list of activities this month has been

house hunting! The following weekend we did just that and went off looking specifically in the Orange County Area. After seeing about 30 some places with our realtor, the search goes on... The photo to the right is from one of our top house contenders. Parag was in town to check it out with us.

Ravi's 29th Birthday rolled around on the third weekend of March and we went to Palm Springs. After attending our obligatory timeshare visit, we spent the rest of the time swimming in the pool (in the midst of 98 degree weather), playing golf, and eating! Sunday morning we awoke at the crack of dawn to head out on a Hot Air Balloon Ride. It was very fun and exciting.

After the weekend, Ravi's birthday celebration continued on to the following weekend with a fun surprise at Balboa Beach. The fun started off at a local Mexican restaurant which followed a relaxing day, lounging, playing, and eating on the beach. Our entourage of friends included far off visitors as well: Bhawna, Sundar, Shreya, Hardik, Chaitali, Lori, Lisa, Cerella, Karl, Paola, Mike, Vishal, Sheerali, Cecilia, Nikki, Dipesh, Parag, and Shila. It was so fun to have one big gathering after so long. Our beach trip concluded with a bonfire with the roasting of hot dogs and smores! yum! The after party was held at our place with lots of games into the wee hours of the night.

March was busy, but of course, it was wonderful to spend time with our friends!
