Well, it is that time of year again and we have plenty to be thankful for. This holiday season we have almost the whole family in our new home for one week. After a weekend of packing, moving and organizing the new place, the family started to arrive. Supriya came on Sunday morning and we put her right to work with organizing and cleaning. Tuesday afternoon, Parag, and my parents arrived. Thursday afternoon, Ravi's parents arrived. We were busy making food, or more like our Moms were making food for us. But mostly us kids made Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings, Turkey, Tofurkey, Green Bean Casserole, Stuffing, Mashed Potatoes, Gravy, Biscuits, Salad, Cranberry sauce, and of course Pumpkin Pie! Wow, were we stuffed!
Black Friday was another crazy day, with driving all over the OC and hitting up various malls. Supriya had to get her shopping in! Even though we didn't go crazy and spend 4 hours in front of Best Buy like last year, we were still able to get a few deals.
On Saturday evening, we all went to see Corteo, the travelling Cirque du Soleil show. This was the first Cirque show for my parents and it was pretty fabulous. A small tent, but some amazing feats were performed. It was definitely a highlight for everyone.
The entire week was not very relaxing, but tons of fun! Sleeping until really late, watching movies, playing taboo, poker, presidents, and eating and eating and eating with the family was by far what made this Thanksgiving one to remember!
