November 14th was by far the longest day ever. We finished signing all the escrow and mortgage papers the previous Friday, so all we were waiting for on Wednesday was the ring of the telephone. In anticipation of moving in, Ravi and I packed up our cars, Tuesday night. Our plan was to head over get the keys and immediately start moving in and staying in our new place. Forget the beds or other important items, all we need is a pair of sleeping bags.
Anyway, Wednesday morning came and we waited. The Shea people said they most likely won't call until afternoon. Well, Wednesday noon came and went. 1pm....2pm....3pm...4pm...4:55pm and the call came! Could it have been any later??? We were out the door heading to the new place immediately. Yay! We have a home!
